This invention relates to a system for reinforcing door frames and doors, in particular to a unit including twin plates joined one to the other transversely through the door and positioned on the outside and inside of the door to reinforce the same at the level of the handle, the latch and dead bolt. Also proposed is an inner plate hidden in the door frame to reinforce the same at the level of the dead bolt. The hidden plate is installed on the exterior of a new door frame and it includes as an appendix a projecting collar, which extends through the door frame and is adapted to surround the dead bolt in the door frame. The hidden plate mounted in a previously installed door frame with weather stripping is S-shaped and is installed in the groove that normally receives the weather stripping by taking the place of a section of this weather stripping, and by also extending to the location of the strike plate, at which point the plate also defines an opening that allows it to surround the dead bolt.
La présente invention traite d'un système de renforcement de cadre de porte et de porte, et en particulier d'un jeu de plaques jumelées et reliées entre elles transversalement d'une porte et placées à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de la porte pour la renforcer au niveau de la poignée, du loquet et du pêne. Une plaque interne est également proposée qui est dissimulée dans le cadre pour le renforcer au niveau du pêne. La plaque dissimulée dans un cadre neuf est installée par l'extérieur du cadre et possède comme appendice un anneau en saillie qui passe à travers le cadre et qui vient entourer l'emplacement du pêne; la plaque dissimulée dans un cadre déjà installé et pourvu d'un coupe-froid est en forme de esse et est installée dans la fente qui reçoit le coupe-froid en prenant la place d'une section du coupe-froid, et de plus s'étend jusqu'à l'emplacement de la gâche où la plaque possède à son tour une partie évidée qui lui permet d'entourer le pêne.
