A tissue disposal bag has a front wall and a back wall, and an elongate vertical centre area of the front wall for disposal of tissue into the bag. The front wall and the back wall of the bag are joined together to form a bag cavity between them. The opening is designed so that, upon application of a minimal force to a portion of the front wall where the opening is located, the front wall separates along the length of the opening, allowing for disposal of tissue through the opening and into the trash bag, which then retains its original shape. This allows for hygienic disposal of the tissue into the bag since the user does not have to close the bag manually.
