An electrical motor and the process for forming that motor utilizes injection molding techniques to unitize the stator assembly. The stator assembly (21) includes a stator lamination stack (27) and preferably a metal front end cap (26) which is secured to the lamination stack (27) after the lamination stack is insulated and wound. The windings are terminated at a plurality of conductive pins (94) fusion welded to the terminating ends of the windings. The stator assembly (21) with front end cap (26) in place is positioned in an injection molding die. Pressure is applied to the die, and molten plastic is injected under pressure to fill voids in the stator assembly, and also to form a plastic mass which will serve as the rear end cap (25). The rear end cap (25) is also molded with a connector portion (41) which fixes the conductive pins (94) in place as a part of the connector. A bore (30) formed in the stator assembly provides mounting surfaces (31, 32) for bearings (23, 24) on a rotor assembly (20).

Moteur électrique et procédé de réalisation de ce moteur mettant en oeuvre des techniques de moulage pour obtenir des ensembles stators unifiés. L'ensemble stator (21) se compose d'une pile de tôles de stator (27) et, de préférence, un obturateur métallique antérieur (26) qui est fixé sur la pile de tôles (27) après isolation et bobinage de cette dernière. Les enroulements se terminent par une série de broches conductrices (94) soudées par fusion aux extrémités des enroulements. L'ensemble stator (21), avec son obturateur antérieur (26) en place, est placé dans un moule de moulage par injection. La pression est appliquée au moule, et le plastique fondu est injecté sous pression pour emplir les vides dans l'ensemble stator et pour constituer une masse plastique qui servira d'obturateur postérieur (25). L'obturateur postérieur (25) est également moulé avec une partie de raccordement (41) qui fixe les broches conductrices (94) en place pour faire partie de ce raccordement. Un alésage (30) réalisé à l'intérieur de l'ensemble stator fournit les surfaces de montage (31, 32) des paliers (23, 24) de l'ensemble rotor (20).
