For sealing an annular space between opening in a wall or similar member and an object, extending through the opening, by introducing a sealing agent into the space, at least one bag, into which the sealing agent is introduced, is positioned in the space. For this purpose, a supporting element is used, which can be positioned in the opening and to which a bag is fastened. The annular space can be sealed easily and also liquid-tight in this manner.
