Process for dyeing regenerated cellulose fibers, which comprises adding an amine-substituted cellulose deriva- tive to a viscose dope or to an alkali cellulose and spinning fibers by the viscose spinning process, or adding said cellulose derivative to a cellulose solution and spinning fibers from the solution, processing fibers into a woven or knitted fabric and dyeing the fabric with a direct or acid dye in the absence of additional electrolyte salt.
