Polypeptides comprising a mutant non-structural Hepatitis C virus useful in diagnostic and/or immunogenic compositions are disclosed, in which the mutant is an N-terminal mutation that functionally disrupt the catalytic domain of NS3. Polynucleotides encoding these polypeptides, host cells transformed with polynucleotides and methods of using the polypeptides and polynucleotides are also disclosed.

Cette invention concerne des polypeptides renfermant un virus mutant non structurel de l'hépatite C qui convient pour des compositions diagnostiques et/ou immunogènes, dans lesquels le mutant est une mutation de l'extrémité N terminale qui disloque fonctionnellement le domaine catalytique de NS3. L'invention porte également sur des polynucléotides codant pour ces polypeptides, des cellules hôtes transformées par des polynucléotides ainsi que des méthodes d'utilisation de ces polypeptides et polynucléotides.
