Optically active .beta.-halohydrins protected as their trimethylsilyl ethers are prepared using enantioselective Lewis acid hafnium or zirconium catalyst complexes. The complexes comprise optically active triisopropanolamine complexed with Zr(IV) and trifluoroacetate anion.
On prépare des .beta.-halohydrines optiquement actives protégées sous forme de leurs éthers triméthysilyles en utilisant des complexes d'acide de Lewis enantiosélectif et des catalyseurs à l'hafnium ou au zirconium. Ces complexes renferment de la triisopropanolamine optiquement active, complexée avec du Zr(IV) et un anion trifluoroacétate.
