To provide an oil pump mounting structure for an engine including a crank case rotatably supporting a crank shaft, an oil pan connected to a lower portion of the crank case, and an oil pump rotatable in interlocking with the crank shaft, characterized by lowering the center of gravity of the engine, and improving both the suction efficiency and maintenance characteristic of the oil pump. A pump housing 45 of the oil pump 44 is removably mounted on a mounting portion 52 provided on the bottom of an oil pan 42.
