The invention relates to the use of a compound of formula (I) wherein R corresponds to a -CH3 radical or a CH2OH radical, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, pharmaceutically acceptable solvate or hydrate thereof, for preparing a medicament for preventing and/or treating inflammatory skin pathologies. L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'un composé de formule (I), dans laquelle R correspond à un radical -CH3 ou un radical CH2OH, d'un de ses sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables, solvats pharmaceutiquement acceptables ou hydrates, pour la préparation d'un médicament destiné à prévenir et/ou à traiter les pathologies inflammatoires cutanées. L'invention concerne plus précisément l'utilisation du (3S)-N-hydroxy-4-({4-[(4- hydroxy-2-butynyl)oxy]phényl}sulfonyl)-2,2-diméthyl-3-thiomorpholine carboxamide (ou Apratastat) ou du (S)-N-Hydroxy-4-(4-but-2-ynyloxy-benzenesulfonyl)-2,2-dimethyl-thiomorpholine-3-carboxamide, d'un de ses sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables, solvats pharmaceutiquement acceptables ou hydrates, pour la préparation d'un médicament destiné à prévenir et/ou à traiter les pathologies inflammatoires cutanées.
