A universal peer-to-peer game download for future proof gaming machines and legacy gaming machines, not requiring a central server for downloading. A peer- to-peer network of gaming machines includes a network; a first gaming machine including a first locked enclosure, a first computing device disposed within the first locked enclosure for controlling game play on the first gaming machine, a first download-enabled computing device that is configured to be selectively coupled to the network and disposed within the first locked enclosure, and a second gaming machine. The first download enabled computing device is configured to couple to the second gaming machine over the network and to download a package authenticated by a certificate directly from the second gaming machine, the package including software components to be installed and executed on the first computing device.
L'invention concerne un téléchargement universel de jeux de hasard d'égal à égal s'appliquant à des machines de jeux de hasard perfectionnées et à des machines de jeux de hasard patrimoniales ne nécessitant pas de serveur central pour le téléchargement. Un réseau d'égal à égal de machines de jeux de hasard comprend un réseau: une première machine de jeu comportant une première enceinte verrouillée; un premier dispositif de calcul placé à l'intérieur de cette première enceinte verrouillée pour contrôler le déroulement du jeu sur la première machine de jeu; un premier dispositif de calcul à capacité de téléchargement qui est configuré pour être couplé sélectivement au réseau et placé à l'intérieur de la première enceinte verrouillée, et une seconde machine de jeu de hasard. Le premier dispositif de calcul à capacité de téléchargement est configuré pour être couplé à la seconde machine de jeu sur le réseau et pour télécharger un progiciel authentifié par un certificat directement depuis la seconde machine de jeu, ce progiciel comprenant des composants logiciels à installer et à exécuter sur le premier dispositif de calcul.
