Polymer compositions comprising nylon and a halogenated polymer. In one aspect, the present invention includes a polymer composition comprising about 1 % to about 99 % by weight of nylon and about 1 % to about 99 % by weight of halogenated polymer, wherein the combined percent of the nylon and the halogenated polymer is at least about 80 percent. In another aspect, the present invention includes a polymer composition consisting essentially of nylon and halogenated polymer. In yet another aspect, the present invention includes an article comprising a polymer made by a process comprising the steps of providing nylon and halogenated polymer materials; melting the nylon and halogenated polymer materials; and forming the article from the melt of nylon and halogenated polymer materials.
L'invention concerne des compositions polymères renfermant du nylon et un polymère halogéné. Dans un aspect, la présente invention concerne une composition polymère renfermant environ entre 1 et 99 % en poids de nylon, et environ entre 1 et 99 % en poids d'un polymère halogéné, le pourcentage combiné du nylon et du polymère halogéné atteignant approximativement 80 pour cent. Dans un autre aspect, la présente invention concerne une composition polymère essentiellement à base de nylon et d'un polymère halogéné. Dans une variante, la présente invention concerne un article comprenant un polymère fabriqué selon un processus consistant: à prendre du nylon et un polymère halogéné; à fondre ce nylon et ce polymère halogéné; et à former ledit article à partir du nylon et du polymère halogéné fondus.
