A B S T R A C T I would like to state a few words in regard to my invention called "The Floating Piston Ring". I consider this type of ring as being far superior to the ones now in use all over the world. This type of ring will never wear out of true position as the present piston rings do. The present rings have to wear into perfect circle against the wall of the cylinder and after many miles of con- stant use they start to wear out of true position thus allowing blow by into the base of the engine and the end result is loss of compression, oil and power. In the case of the "Floating ring" this could not happen as the rings would always be in perfect position all around the poston wall. Now barring over healing or loss of oil, this ring should last the life of the engine. In case the rings should have to be replaced this can be done quickly as the cylinder wall would not have to be re- worked as the replacement rings would fit perfectly on the old survace, no break in required. Those rings could be made to fit any car or truck by that I mean made to the specifications of each motor in any make of car, compressor, etc. etc.
