ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a process for allocating data sets to time vales of a consecutive sequence, each time value is stored as a data string in a field. Read-out of a given time value starts at the beginning of the data string and continues up to the selected time value. A time value can be allocated to each unit of a data string and vice versa.
