A lifting device (30) includes a base (32) comprising a horizontal portion (34) for engagement with the bottom of an object to be lifted and a vertical portion (36) for engagement with the side of the object. A handle (38) is secured to the base and extends vertically upwardly from the vertical portion. A handle grip (40) is mounted on the handle for selective engagement to impose an upwardly directive force on the handle and the base, thereby lifting an object mounted on the base in engagement with horizontal and vertical portions thereof. The handle grip may be selectively positioned or located vertically relative to the base. The handle grip may be tubular in construction to facilitate the receipt of a bar (146), slots (388), apertures (394), and/or rings (392) for receiving straps or ropes to secure objects to be lifted to the lifting device.
Ce dispositif de levage (30) est constitué d'une base (32) comprenant une partie horizontale (34) prenant par le fond un objet à lever et une partie verticale (36) prenant par le côté l'objet à lever. Un manche (38), solidaire de la base, se dresse verticalement à partir de la partie verticale. Une poignée (40) est montée sur le manche de façon à pouvoir faire accomplir au manche, et donc à la base, un mouvement de remontée verticale, ce qui permet de lever un objet pris par la partie horizontale et la partie verticale de la base.
