A device and method for communicating voice data in packet form in a mobile communication system. In the packet voice data communication method upon generation of voice data, a packet voice channel is assigned, and an active state is entered where packetized voice data is transmitted on the voice channel. If there is no voice data for a predetermined time period while in the active state, the assigned voice channel is released, and an inactive state is entered where no voice data is transmitted. If the next voice data is generated while in the inactive state, the voice channel active state is entered where a voice channel is assigned to transmit the next voice data, and the voice data is transmitted.
L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé de communication de données vocales en paquets, dans un système de communication mobile. Dans ce procédé, lors de la production de données vocales, une voie de transmission de paquets vocaux est assignée et est mise dans un état actif, ce qui lui permet de transmettre les données vocales en paquets. S'il n'existe pas de données vocales pendant une période déterminée, alors que la voie est dans un état actif, cette voie assignée est libérée et est mise dans un état inactif dans lequel aucune donnée vocale n'est transmise. Si des données vocales suivantes sont produites, alors que la voie est dans un état inactif, cette voie est mise dans un état actif, ce qui lui permet, lors de l'assignation d'une voie de transmission de données vocales, de les données vocales suivantes, lesquelles sont alors transmises.
