A blood circulation assist system comprising an inflow cannula (12) having a lumen and an insertion device (200) configured to be received therein and to facilitate insertion of a portion of the inflow cannula (12) into a heart chamber. The insertion device (200) includes a shaft (206) having distal and proximal end portions (208, 210) and a plurality of lumens (212, 214). A first lumen (212) is configured to receive a guidewire and a second lumen (214) is configured to receive a pressurized fluid. A tip (220) connected to the distal end portion (208) of the shaft (206) is configured for insertion into the heart chamber. The tip (220) has a hollow interior (226) communicating with the first shaft lumen (212). An inflatable member (224) is coupled to the distal end portion (208) of the shaft (206) and includes a hollow interior (254) in fluid communication with the second shaft lumen (214). The inflatable member (224) is movable between deflated and inflated configurations for releasably securing the insertion device (200) to the inflow cannula (12).
La présente invention concerne un système permettant de favoriser la circulation sanguine, le système comportant une canule d'entrée de fluide (12) présentant une lumière et un dispositif d'insertion (200) configuré pour s'y placer et faciliter l'insertion d'une partie de la canule d'entrée de fluide (12) dans une cavité cardiaque. Le dispositif d'insertion (200) comporte un axe (206) présentant des parties d'extrémité distale et proximale (208, 210) et une pluralité de lumières (212, 214). Une première lumière (212) est configurée pour recevoir un fil-guide et une seconde lumière (214) est configurée pour recevoir un fluide sous pression. Une pointe (220) connectée à la partie d'extrémité distale (208) de l'axe (206) est configurée pour être insérée dans la cavité cardiaque. La pointe (220) présente un intérieur creux (226) qui communique avec la première lumière (212) de l'axe. Un élément gonflable (224) est couplé à la partie d'extrémité distale (208) de l'axe (206) et présente un intérieur creux (254) en communication fluidique avec la seconde lumière (214) de l'axe. L'élément gonflable (224) peut passer d'une configuration dégonflée à une configuration gonflée afin de fixer de manière amovible le dispositif d'insertion (200) à la canule d'entrée de fluide (12).
