System for the transformation of a number of source databases having n legacy data models to a target database having one target model, for the purpose of providing corporate information, such as customer information with integrated customer images. Use is made of a merge database, having an intermediate data structure with which the source database is coupled to the target database. The merge database has a number of structure elements on which four basic operations are performed, namely PROJECTING: filling the table of the merge database from the source database, GROUPING: determining the target-object-id of the object to which the record belongs, RELATING: determining the target- object-id of a related datum within the merge database, and CALCULATING: evaluation of an attribute of one table of the merge database. In this regard, the structure elements are read and changed by one of said basic operations according to a given processing matrix.
On décrit un système pour la transformation d'un certain nombre de base de données de source ayant n modèles de données antérieures en une base de données cible présentant un modèle cible dans le but de fournir une information intégrée (telle qu'une information destinée au client) accompagnée d'images intégrées destinées au client. On met en oeuvre une base de données de synthèse comprenant une structure de données intermédiaire au moyen de laquelle la base de données de source est couplée à la base de données cible. La base de données de synthèse présente un certain nombre d'éléments de structure sur lesquels quatre opérations de base sont réalisées, à savoir la projection, le groupage, la relation et le calcul. La projection consiste à remplir la table de la base de données de synthèse à partir de la base de données de source. Le groupage consiste à déterminer l'élément "identification de l'objet-cible" de l'objet auquel appartient l'enregistrement. La relation consiste à déterminer l'"identification de l'objet-cible" d'une donnée connexe à l'intérieur de la base de données de synthèse. Le calcul consiste à évaluer un attribut d'une table de la base de données de synthèse. Pour ce faire, les éléments de structure sont lus et modifiés par une desdites opérations de base selon une matrice de traitement donnée.
