A process for making high-primary, low-unsaturation polyols is disclosed. A polyol made by double metal cyanide (DMC) catalysis is blended with a polyol made by basic catalysis, and the polyol blend is reacted with ethylene oxide to produce an ethylene oxide-capped polyol. The process overcomes problems of the conventional recatalysis approach to making EO-capped polyols from DMC-catalyzed polyols.
