The present invention provides a process for the preparation of a compound of formula (I); wherein X is halogen; Y is ZR1; Z is oxygen or sulphur; and R1 is C 1-6 alkyl, C1-6 haloalkyl or C3-7 cloalkyl; the process comprising either: hydrogenating a compound of formula (II); with a suitable transition metal catalyst in a C1-6 aliphatic alcohol, an ether, an hydrocarbon as solvent; or, b) conducting a one-pot hydrogenation of a compound of formula (III): wherein R2 is phenyl optionally substituted by chloro,C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 alkoxy or (C1-6 alkyl)2N; firstly at about 20~C to form a compound of formula (IV): and then at about 40~C; both steps (I) and (ii) being carried out in the presence of a suitable catalyst and in the presence of a suitable solvent.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un composé de la formule (I); dans laquelle X représente halogène; Y représente ZR1; Z représente oxygène ou soufre; et R1 représente alkyle C 1-6, haloalkyle C1-6 ou cycloalkyle C3-7; le procédé consistant soit (a) à hydrogéner un composé de la formule (II) avec un catalyseur à métal de transition approprié dans un alcool aliphatique C1-6,un éther, un ester ou un hydrocarbure en tant que solvant; soit b) à effectuer une hydrogénation en récipient unique d'un composé de formule (III) dans laquelle R2 représente phényle facultativement substitué par chloro, alkyle C1-6, alcoxy C1-6 ou (alkyle C1-6)2N; premièrement à environ 20 °C pour former un composé de formule (IV) et ensuite à environ 40 °C; les deux étapes (i) et (ii) étant exécutées en la présence d'un catalyseur approprié et en la présence d'un solvant adapté.
