The cooking odour and safety shield completely encloses the space between a cook top and the kitchen ventilation. The shield has two windowed side panels, an adjustable back panel, a top panel and two glass front doors. The top panel has an opening for close engagement with the ventilation hood to a ventilation duct connected to an air ventilation outlet. The front doors, when opened, are selectively slidable to lie juxtaposed to the side panels.
