Compositions particularly useful as coatings for solid dosage forms of therapeutic agents are provided, as are solid dosage forms comprising such coatings, processes for preparing such solid dosage forms, and the products of those processes. The coating compositions generally provide excellent strength and resistance to cracking, even when applied to flexible/swellable tablet cores such as hydrogel-type cores. The compositions also exhibit excellent odor-blocking characteristics.

L'invention concerne des compositions convenant notamment en tant qu'enrobages pour des préparations posologiques solides d'agents thérapeutiques ainsi que des préparations posologiques solides comprenant ces enrobages, des procédés permettant de préparer ces préparations posologiques solides et des produits obtenus au moyen de ces procédés. Les compositions d'enrobage selon l'invention confèrent une excellente solidité ainsi qu'une résistance à la fissuration, même lorsqu'elles sont appliquées à des noyaux de comprimés flexibles/gonflables, tels que des noyaux du type hydrogel. Par ailleurs, ces compositions présentent d'excellentes caractéristiques de blocage des odeurs.
