A seat assembly for use in an automative vehicle comprising a seat back and a seat cushion pivotally coupled to the seat back. A pivot bracket is fixedly secured to each opposite lateral side of the seat back for supporting the seat assembly between opposing lateral side walls within the interior of the vehicle. Each pivot bracket includes a support flange for supporting the seat cushion cantilevered from the pivot bracket. A hook portion engages a latch post on the lateral side walls to retain the seat assembly in an upright seating position. A pivot flange is pivotally coupled to a main pivot post on the lateral side walls for pivoting the seat assembly between the upright seating position to a stow-to-floor position wherein the seat cushion is pivoted forwardly and downwardly to be supported on the floor of the vehicle and the seat back is pivoted against the seat cushion to form an extended cargo load floor.
L'invention concerne un ensemble siège utilisé dans un véhicule automobile et comprenant un dossier de siège et un coussin de siège couplé pivotant à ce dossier de siège. Un support pivotant est fermement fixé sur chaque côté latéral opposé du dossier de siège de manière à supporter l'ensemble siège entre des parois latérales opposées à l'intérieur dudit véhicule. Chaque support pivotant comprend un butée destinée à supporter le coussin de siège en porte-à-faux à partir du support pivotant. Une partie de crochet entre en prise avec une tige de blocage sur les parois latérales de façon à retenir l'ensemble siège dans une position verticale de siège. Un talon pivotant est couplé pivotant à une tige de pivotement principale sur les parois latérales de façon à faire pivoter l'ensemble siège entre la position verticale de siège et une position d'escamotage. Le coussin de siège peut pivoter vers l'avant et vers le bas de manière à reposer sur le plancher du véhicule, le siège arrière pouvant alors pivoter contre ce coussin de siège, d'où l'obtention d'un plancher de chargement.
