Compounds of formula (I): wherein R1 represents C1-6alkyl, halogen or phenyl; R2, represents hydrogen, C1-6alkyl halogen or phenyl; R3 represents hydroxyl or a group convertible thereto in vivo; R4 represents C1-6alkyl; p is zero, 1 or 2; X represents -CH2-, -C ? O, O or S; n is an integer from 4 to 10; m is an integer from 3 to 8; and salts thereof are useful as calcium antagonists, e.g. in the treatment of conditions relating to an accumulation of calcium in brain cells.
