Abstract of tho Disclosure The invention discloses novel herbicidally active and plant growth-regulating benzthiazolylurea derivatives of the formula Image wherein R1 is hydrogen or C1-C6alkyl, R2 is hydrogen or C1-C6alkyl or C1-C4alkoxy, R3 is hydrogen or C1-C6alkyl, R6 and R7 are hydrogen or C1-C4alkyl or one of them also phenyl, R8 and R9 hydrogen, C1-C5alkyl or one of them also C1-C4alkoxy carbonyl, X1 and X2 are a double bonded oxygen or the ethylene diketal group (-OC2H4O-) and Y is oxygen or sulfur.
