A connector device (10) is disclosed for establishing fluid communication between a diluent container (12) having sidewalls and a drug vial (14). The connector (10) has a piercing member (51) having a first end (52) and a second end (53) and a central fluid pathway (54). The piercing member (51) is mounted to the liquid container (12) and has fluid accessing portions hermetically sealed from an outside environment. A vial receiving chamber is associated with the piercing member (51) and is dimensioned to connect to the vial (14). The vial (14) may be selectively attached to the device (10) without piercing the closure (22) of the vial (14) and without breaching the hermetic seal of the fluid accessing portions of the piercing member (51). Means are provided for connecting the vial receiving chamber to the liquid container (12). The device (10) is movable from an inactivated position, where the piercing member (51) is outside the sidewalls and no fluid flows between the liquid container (12) and the drug vial (14), to an activated position, where fluid flows through the fluid pathway (54) between the liquid container (12) and the drug vial (14). The device (10) is movable from the inactivated position to the activated position by a force applied to the device (10) outside the liquid container (12).
La présente invention concerne un dispositif à raccord (10) servant à créer une communication fluidique entre, d'une part un récipient à diluant (12) pourvu de parois latérales, et d'autre part un flacon de médicament (14). Le raccord (10) comporte un poinçon (51) définissant entre deux extrémités (52, 53) un passage d'écoulement central (54). Le poinçon (51), qui se monte sur le récipient à liquide (12), comporte des parties hermétiquement isolées de l'environnement extérieur. Ce raccord comporte, associée au poinçon (51), une chambre de réception du flacon dont les dimensions sont étudiées pour permettre le raccordement sur le flacon (14). Le flacon (14) peut se fixer sélectivement au dispositif (10) sans perforer l'opercule (22) du flacon (14) et sans rompre l'isolation hermétique des parties du poinçon (51) ayant accès au fluide. Le dispositif comporte des organes servant à raccorder au récipient à liquide (12) la chambre de réception du flacon. Le dispositif est mobile entre une position d'inactivité et une position d'activité. En position d'inactivité, le poinçon reste à l'extérieur des parois extérieures, et aucun fluide ne s'écoule entre le récipient à liquide (12) et le flacon à médicaments le fluide traverse le passage d'écoulement (54) entre le récipient à liquide (12) et le flacon à médicaments (14). En position d'activité, le fluide s'écoule par le passage d'écoulement (54) entre le récipient (12) et le flacon à médicaments (14). Le passage du dispositif (10) de la position d'inactivité à la position d'activité nécessite l'application d'une force sur le dispositif (10) à l'extérieur du récipient à liquide (12).
