An air quality control system (AQCS) (4) useful for processing a gas stream (DG), such as a flue gas stream emitted from a fossil fuel fired boiler (2), combustion process or the like, for at least partial removal of acidic and like contaminants. The air quality control system (4) includes a plurality of integrated components (12) equipped with both a dry scrubber system (8) and a fabric filter (10). The air quality control system (4) such as described possesses increased "turn down" capabilities thus increasing the efficiency thereof.

L'invention porte sur un système (4) de contrôle de la qualité de l'air (AQCS) utile pour le traitement d'un courant de gaz (DG), tel qu'un courant de gaz d'échappement émis par une chaudière à combustible fossile (2), un procédé de combustion ou similaires, pour l'élimination au moins partielle de contaminants acides et similaires. Le système (4) de contrôle de qualité de l'air comprend plusieurs composants intégrés (12) équipés à la fois d'un système d'épuration à sec (8) et d'un filtre en tissu (10). Le système (4) de contrôle de la qualité de l'air tel que décrit possède des capacités de «ralentissement» accrues, permettant ainsi d'augmenter le rendement de celui-ci.
