A medical device for delivery of a self-expanding stent comprises a catheter assembly (10) having a catheter shaft (12) and a self-expanding stent (30) disposed thereabout. A retractable sheath (40) is disposed about the catheter shaft and the stent. The retractable sheath retains the stent in a reduced diameter condition prior to delivery. A retractable membrane (60) is also disposed about the catheter shaft and the stent prior to delivery. Prior to delivery a first portion (64) of the membrane is positioned between the stent and the retractable sheath. A second portion (66) of the retractable membrane extends from the first portion and is positioned radially external of the retractable sheath. The retractable sheath and the retractable membrane are independently moveable relative to one another.
L'invention concerne un dispositif médical pour une distribution d'endoprothèse autodilatable. Ce dispositif comprend un assemblage de cathéter (10) présentant une arbre de cathéter (12) et une endoprothèse autodilatable (30) disposée autour de l'arbre. Un manchon rétractable (40) est disposé autour de l'arbre de cathéter et de l'endoprothèse. Ce manchon rétractable retient l'endoprothèse dans une condition de diamètre réduit, avant sa distribution. Une membrane rétractable (60) est également disposée autour de l'arbre de cathéter et de l'endoprothèse, avant la distribution. Avant la distribution, une première partie (64) de la membrane est positionnée entre l'endoprothèse et le manchon rétractable. Une seconde partie (66) de la membrane rétractable s'étend à partir de la première partie, et est positionnée radialement à l'extérieur du manchon rétractable. Le manchon rétractable et la membrane rétractable sont indépendamment mobiles l'un par rapport à l'autre.
