The disclosure relates to a surgical fastener or device (implant) formed in the shape of an arrow comprising a shaft (1) with a proximal (first) portion (2) having protrusions (5) and a blunt end and a distal (second) portion (3) having protrusions (4) and a pointed end (3a), the protrusions of the proximal and distal portions configured to lock the implant in a position inside a soft and/or tough tissue according to the use of the implant. The implant may be manufactured of a polymer or a polymeric compound which is substantially (bio)absorbable in tissue conditions and contains oriented reinforcing structure or the like of a polymer or polymeric compound or ceramic bioglass compound. The surgical implant of the invention is particularly but not solely intended to be used in repair surgery of traumas of soft and/or tough tissues containing fibrous structures, such as knee meniscal tissues.

L'invention concerne un dispositif chirurgical de fixation ou d'implantation se présentant sous la forme d'une flèche comportant une tige (1) pourvue d'une (première) partie proximale (2) possédant des saillies (5) et une extrémité émoussée, ainsi que d'une (deuxième) partie distale (3) possédant des saillies (4) et une extrémité pointue (3a), les saillies des parties proximale et distale étant conçues pour bloquer le dispositif d'implantation dans une position à l'intérieur d'un tissu mou ou dur selon l'utilisation prévue dudit dispositif. Ce dernier peut être fabriqué en un polymère ou un composé polymère pouvant être pratiquement absorbé par le tissu et contenant une structure, telle qu'une structure de renforcement orientée, en polymère ou en composé polymère ou en composé de bioverre céramique. Ce dispositif chirurgical d'implantation est conçu particulièrement, mais pas uniquement, pour être mis en application en chirurgie réparatrice de traumatismes de tissus mous ou durs contenant des structures fibreuses, tels que les tissus du ménisque du genou.
