The present invention relates to a method of fabricating rigid section bars able to be articulated manually, comprising a first phase wherein, on a band of suitable material, a succession of areas of weakening transverse with respect to the longitudinal axis of said band is obtained by shearing, said areas including polygonal slots whose axis of symmetry is transverse with respect to said longitudinal axis, alternatively upset with respect thereto, and further including lighteners obtained on transverse straight lines passing through vertices, chamfered with relatively wide fillets, of said polygonal slots; and a second phase wherein said band is formed according to an open profile terminating, at its ends, with free edges. The invention further relates to the section bars obtained thereby.

Cette invention a trait à un procédé de fabrication de profilés rigides pouvant être articulés manuellement. La première étape de ce procédé consiste à cisailler une bande d'un matériau approprié afin d'obtenir un suite de zones d'affaiblissement transversales à l'axe longitudinal de la bande, ces zones comportant des fentes polygonales dont l'axe de symétrie est transversal par rapport audit axe longitudinal et ayant été refoulées par rapport à ce même axe. Les zones d'affaiblissement comportent, en outre, des secteurs d'allégement ménagés sur des lignes droites traversant les sommets, chanfreinés avec des congés relativement importants, desdites fentes polygonales. La seconde étape consiste en la formation de ladite bande, en fonction d'un profil ouvert, s'achevant sur ses extrémités par des bords libres. Cette invention porte également sur des profilés obtenus grâce à ce procédé.
