This invention relates to a process for reducing engine wear in the operation of an internal combustion engine, comprising: (A) recirculating at least part of the exhaust gas from the engine to the intake air supply of the engine; and (B) operating the engine using a water-blended fuel composition made by combining: (i) a normally liquid hydrocarbon fuel; (ii) water; and (iii) at least one surfactant.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de réduire l'usure d'un moteur lors du fonctionnement d'un moteur thermique, qui consiste: (A) à faire recirculer au moins une partie des gaz d'échappement du moteur vers l'alimentation à air d'admission du moteur; et (B) à faire fonctionner le moteur au moyen d'une composition carburant mélangé à l'eau obtenue par combinaison (i) d'un combustible hydrocarboné normalement liquide; (ii) de l'eau; et (iii) d'au moins un tensioactif.
