The present invention relates to the use of cycloolefin copolymers for producingfilms. For cycloolefin copolymers, conditions have been found under which biaxially oriented films without heat-sealable layers can be firmly bonded with one another. The film temperatures found for this were above the glass transition temperature by from 5 to 70°C, and the times found were from 0.1 sec to 10 sec. As a result of the invention, layers made from cycloolefin copolymer and having a thickness ~ 50 µm have been used for the first time as heat-sealable layers, replacing cycloolefincopolymers having higher glass transition temperatures.

L'invention porte sur l'emploi de copolymères de cyclooléfines pour la fabrication de pellicules. Dans le cas des copolymères de cyclooléfines, on a déterminé des conditions dans lesquelles des pellicules à orientation biaxiale, sans couche thermoscellable, peuvent être liées solidement l'une à l'autre. Les températures de la pellicule étaient supérieures de 5 à 70 degrés C à la température de transition vitreuse, et le temps se situait dans une plage de 0,1-10 s. L'invention a donc permis d'utiliser pour la première fois des couches de copolymères de cyclooléfines d'une épaisseur inférieure ou égale à 50 microns comme couches thermoscellables, en remplacement des copolymères de cyclooléfines possédant une température vitreuse supérieure.
