A field coil (10) for an electromagnetic rotor comprising multiple windings (12), each substantially entirely coated with a powder resin having a dielectric strength of at least in the range of 1000-1500 v/mil. A method of manufacturing a field coil (10) for an electromagnetic rotor includes the steps of a) providing a field coil comprising multiple layers (12) of copper bars; b) coating the multiple layers (12) of the field coil (10) with a powder resin having a dielectric strength of at least about 1000-1500 v/mil.; and c) curing the powder resin.

L'invention concerne une bobine de champ (10) de rotor électromagnétique, comprenant de multiples enroulements (12), chaque enroulement étant sensiblement entièrement recouvert d'une résine pulvérante possédant une rigidité diélectrique comprise au moins dans la plage 1000-1500 v/mil. L'invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication de ladite bobine à champ (10) pour rotor électromagnétique consistant a) à fournir une bobine de champ à plusieurs couches (12) de barres de cuivre; b) à recouvrir les couches (12) de la bobine de champ (10) avec une résine pulvérante possédant une rigidité diélectrique d'au moins environ 1000-1500 v/mil.; et c) à durcir ladite résine pulvérante.
