A bedding attachment device for detachably securing bedding to a mattress having an upper surface comprises a number of discs adapted to be secured with connection means at corners of the upper surface of the mattress, the discs being capable of limited displacement away from the upper surface outwardly of the connection means such that bedding can be inserted at corners thereof between the discs and the upper surface of the mattress thereby detachably holding the bedding to the mattress. The bedding attachment device may also comprise a skirt extending around the mattress, the skirt including an elasticized band for detachable attachment thereof against peripheral sides of the mattress thereby allowing for bedding to be tucked in between the skirt and the mattress. A mattress containment system for retaining in position vertically stacked mattresses located between head and foot containment mattress blocks comprises a flap provided on each of the head and foot blocks and having attachment means for detachably fastening it to an upper surface of an uppermost of the mattresses. The mattress containment system may include an elasticized belt which extends around the mattresses and the head and foot blocks in a tight manner.
