The present invention generally provides a circuit for reducing the rate of corrosion in a metal object. The circuit includes charge circuitry having a DC voltage source for providing a capacitive discharge to the metal object via a terminal of the voltage source. The circuit further includes current generation circuitry coupled to the metal object for receiving and shaping the capacitive discharge from the discharge circuitry. The generation circuitry couples the shaped capacitive discharge to the metal object and induces surface currents therein. The surface current can be induced by direct or indirect application of electrical waveforms having AC components generated from the circuit.
La présente invention prévoit généralement un circuit pour réduire le taux de corrosion sur un objet métallique. Le circuit comprend un ensemble de circuits de charge muni d'une source de tension de c.c. pour produire une capacité de décharge à l'objet métallique par le biais d'une borne sur la source de tension. Le circuit comprend également un ensemble de circuits de génération de courant branché à l'objet métallique pour recevoir et former la décharge du circuit de décharge.
