A method and system are disclosed for generating and displaying a custom report based on raw data files received from work machines, such as work machine, in a construction site. The method includes receiving raw data files and queries from a user. The query may be parsed into components. A heuristic may be applied to the parsed components to generate a filter. The filter may operate on the data in the raw data files to generate the custom report and the custom report may be displayed to the user.
