A breast stabilizing (10) and support device has a generally oval base (12) with a central opening (14) therethrough, a variable diameter cord or band (24) positioned concentrically within the central opening (14) and adapted to be slid over the breast and tightened at the breast base that are adapted to be attached to and adjustably positioned around the base for holding various instruments. The base is semi-rigid and compliant to form around the contours of the torso adjacent to the breast. Attached to the base (12) and lying in the central opening (14) is a loop of cord that is adjustable in diameter and adapted to surround and apply a radially inward, compressive force to the breast. One or more articulated arms (30) have selectively lockable clamps at one end for securing the arms (30) to the base at various positions. At another end the arms have attachment means such as jaws (40) or clamps for securing one or more tools to the base in position to perform operations on the breast tissue.
L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant de maintenir et de stabiliser (10) un sein, comportant : une base (12) d'une manière générale ovale à travers laquelle est ménagée une ouverture centrale (14) ; un cordon ou une bande (24) de diamètre variable, disposé de manière concentrique à l'intérieur de l'ouverture centrale (14) et conçu pour être glissé sur le sein et serré à la base du sein pour que ce dernier soit fermement gonflé et éloigné de sa base ; et un ou plusieurs bras articulés conçus pour être fixés et disposés de manière ajustée autour de la base afin de maintenir divers instruments. La base est semi-rigide et peut prendre la forme des contours du torse adjacent à la poitrine. Le cordon, qui forme une boucle, est rattaché à la base (12) et repose dans l'ouverture centrale (14). Ladite boucle, ajustable en diamètre, est conçue pour entourer le sein et exercer une force de compression radiale vers l'intérieur sur le sein. Le ou les bras articulés (30) sont munis, à une extrémité, d'éléments de serrage pouvant être bloqués sélectivement pour maintenir les bras articulés (30) sur la base dans différentes positions. Au niveau d'une autre extrémité, les bras comportent des éléments de fixation, tels que des griffes (40) ou des pinces, permettant de maintenir en position un ou plusieurs outils sur la base afin d'effectuer des opérations sur le tissu mammaire.
