La composition désactivante de surface pour béton ou mortier comportant un retardateur, de l'eau et éventuellement un agent modificateur de rhéologie de type HASE (émulsion, soluble dans les alcalis, d'un polymère à modification hydrophobe), caractérisée en ce que le retardateur est un acide carboxylique et en ce que la concentration en HASE est supérieure ou égale à 0,5 % en poids. Le procédé d'application consiste à appliquer cette composition désactivante dans des proportions de l'ordre de 0,25 ~ 0,05 litre par mètre carré de ladite surface, puis à laver à l'eau cette surface après une période déterminée.
