A quick connector coupling (10) for forming a joint in a fluid line system consists of a female connector body (20) having a bore (21) which receives a male member (12) formed at an end of a tube (14). A sleeve (54) is secured on the male member (12) and fits closely within the bore (21). A retainer arrangement (70) is mounted on the male member (12) axially outwardly of the sleeve (54). The retainer arrangement (70) has a base (76) that surrounds the male member (12) axially outwardly of the bore (21) entrance, and legs (78) which extend away from the base (76) and into the connector body (20). The legs (78) have engagement means (98) for engaging the connector body abutment surface (30) to secure the retainer arrangement (70) to the connector body (20), and for engaging the sleeve (54) to retain the sleeve (54) and male member (12) in the bore (21).
Accouplement rapide (10) permettant de joindre deux parties d'une conduite de fluide et comportant: un raccord femelle (20) comportant un alésage (21) destiné à recevoir un élément mâle (12) usiné à l'extrémité d'un tube (14); un manchon (54) solidaire de l'élément mâle (12) et s'adaptant exactement à l'alésage (21); un dispositif de retenue (70) monté axialement sur l'élément mâle (12) à l'extérieur du manchon (54). Le dispositif de retenue (70) comprend pour sa part une base (76) entourant axialement l'élément mâle (12) et située à l'extérieur de l'entrée de l'alésage (21), et des pattes (78) partant de la base (76) et pénétrant dans le corps (20) du raccord. Lesdites pattes (78) sont munies d'éléments d'accrochage (98) prenant appui sur la surface de butée (30) du corps (20) du raccord pour fixer le dispositif de retenue (70) au corps (20) du raccord, et sur le manchon (54) pour bloquer ce dernier ainsi que l'élément mâle (12) dans l'alésage (21).
