The present invention relates to a novel polymer as binder for producing activated carbon filters. The polymer of the invention is a polyethylene homopolymer and/or copolymer having a melt flow index (MFI 190/15) of from 1.2 g/10 min to 10 g/10 min, a polydispersity M w/M n of from 3 to 30, a bulk density of from 0.05 g/cm3 to 0.5 g/cm3 and a particle size from 5 µm to 300 µm.

La présente invention concerne un nouveau polymère servant de liant dans la production d'un filtre au charbon actif. Le polymère selon l'invention est un homopolymère et/ou un copolymère de polyéthylène présentant un indice de fusion (MFR 190/15) de 1,2 g/10 min à 10 g/10 min, une distribution moléculaire Mw/Mn de 0 à 30, une densité apparente de 0,5 g/cm<3> à 0,5 g/cm<3> et une grosseur de grain de 5 mu m à 300 mu m.
