Shock-absorptive pants for infants, having non-removable knee and shin pads, of foam and fleece. This invention may be used for the protection of the knees and shins of infants, against injuries sustained on surfaces during the crawling and walking phases of development. An extended crawling phase is known to improve upper body strength, and the encouragement of exploration of the environment aids in the development of normal healthy motor skills. An infant confidently and comfortably exploring his surroundings has an increased number of opportunities for learning from the environment. The main components of this invention are the use of stretch fabric for the construction of the pants, medium density polyurethane foam pads from mid thigh to ankle, fleece fabric covering the foam pads, minimization of the numbers of seams and hems in contact with the skin, and size adjustability features. This invention is referred to as "Happiknees".
