A sediment removal assembly (10) is provided for removal of sediment (110) in a container (100). The assembly has a container seal (12) for sealing an opening (114) to the container. The container seal is formed with a seal body (14) with a flow through passageway (20) between opposite ends of the seal body, and a valve arrangement (26) with a valve member (34) normally spring biassed to close said passageway. One end of said seal body is adapted to sealingly engage said container at an opening thereof to close the opening. The assembly also has a sediment reservoir (40) adapted for removable sealing engagement with the opposite end of the seal body and in communication with the flow through passageway so that upon opening the valve member a predetermined amount of liquid may flow through the flow through passageway from the container into the reservoir and any sediment may be delivered gravitationally into the reservoir for accumulation of sediment in the reservoir and removal thereof from the container after the flow through passageway is closed. The reservoir may have a valve actuator (52)adapted to automatically actuate the valve member as it is being applied to engage the valve body to an open position.
La présente invention concerne un ensemble d~élimination de sédiment (10) pour l~élimination de sédiment (110) dans un récipient (100). L~ensemble comporte un dispositif d~étanchéité de récipient (12) pour fermer une ouverture (114) du récipient de façon étanche. Le dispositif d~étanchéité de récipient est formé avec un corps d~étanchéité (14) avec une voie de passage d~écoulement (20) entre des extrémités opposées du corps d~étanchéité, et un agencement de vanne (26) avec un élément de vanne (34) normalement sollicité par ressort pour fermer ladite voie de passage. Une extrémité dudit corps d~étanchéité est conçue pour entrer en prise de façon étanche avec ledit récipient au niveau d~une ouverture de celui-ci pour fermer l~ouverture. L~ensemble possède également un réservoir à sédiment (40) conçu pour entrer en prise d~étanchéité amovible avec l~extrémité opposée du corps d~étanchéité et en communication avec la voie de passage d~écoulement de sorte que lors de l~ouverture de l~élément de vanne, une quantité prédéterminée de liquide puisse s~écouler à travers la voie de passage d~écoulement à partir du récipient dans le réservoir et tout sédiment peut être distribué de façon gravitationnelle dans le réservoir pour l~accumulation de sédiment dans le réservoir et l~élimination de celui-ci à partir du récipient après que la voie de passage d~écoulement est fermée. Le réservoir peut comporter un actionneur de vanne (52) conçu pour actionner automatiquement l~élément de vanne lorsqu~il est appliqué pour entrer en prise avec le corps de vanne jusqu~à une position ouverte.
