Objective methods for detecting and diagnosing prostate cancer (PRC) or prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN) are described herein. In one embodiment, the diagnostic method involves the determining a expression level of PRC -associated gene that discriminate between PRC or PIN and nomal cell. The present invention further provides methods of screening for therapeutic agents useful in the treatment of either or both of PRC and PIN, methods of treating either or both of PRC and PIN and method of vaccinating a subject against either or both of PRC and PIN.

La présente invention concerne des techniques objectives de détection et de diagnostic du cancer de la prostate (PCR) ou de la néoplasie intra-épithéliale prostatique (PIN). Dans un mode de réalisation de l'invention, cette technique de diagnostic consiste à déterminer un niveau d'expression du gène associé au PRC qui permet de distinguer entre une cellules PRC, une cellule PIN et une cellule normale. Cette invention concerne aussi des techniques de recherche d'agents thérapeutiques qui conviennent pour le traitement du PRC et/ou de la PIN, des techniques de traitement du PRC et de la PIN et une technique de vaccination de sujets contre le PRC et/ou la PIN.
