A one piece, flush round rod is disclosed. The rod is used for reciprocal action in a well casing in pumping fluids from a production well. The rod has two connectors, a female threaded socket at one end and a male threaded pin on the other end for facilitating the axial connection of a series of rods. The outside diameter of the connectable ends is no greater than the maximum diameter of the rod itself.
