A tent arranged to be supported above the ground is described. The tent comprises an all-weather suspended shelter that incorporates a collapsible, flexible frame which supports a bedding area. The frame comprises T-shaped members, pipes and arcuate rods. The T-shaped members and the pipes are stitched into the base of the tent such that the pipes reversibly engage the ends of the T-shaped members, thereby connecting adjacent T-shaped members along the length of the base of the tent. The arcuate rods are inserted into the base of the T-shaped members on opposite sides of the base so that the arcuate rods extend across the width of the base of the tent. Thus, the bedding area retains its shape and distributes the weight of a person in the bedding area as a result of the design of the frame. Specifically, the frame is designed to maintain the characteristic shape of the bedding area while remaining flexible and taut. As a result of this arrangement, the weight of the person in the bedding area is transferred to the support structures from which the tent is suspended.
