ABSTRACT Such comprises a preferably cylindrical body, one of the ends of which is fitted with a dispenser (7) for varnish contained in a reservoir 92), a dose being sent to soak a brush (8, 33) the size of which is controlled by two pincers (16, 37) delimiting the profile of the fingernail to be varnished, which finger is previously inserted through the opposite end of the body. The body is wholly closed by doors (14, 26) that are released on inserting the finger. The brush (8) has an arched and resilient back for its ends to follow the edges of pincers (16) that follow the nail contour. The back of the brush can also be made up of various displaceable elements with bristles that partially overlap one another. The brush (8) is covered by a casing (10, 17), removable by rotation or by axial displacement. The varnish is applied upon displacement of the nail with respect to the brush, when either element stays in place.
