Contaminants in food or pharmaceuticals derived from the handling equipment are detected by known detection devices in product flow by the method of detecting particulate magnetic mineral dispersed in the handling equipment or the film used to wrap the food. The minerals magnetic field is detected and the signal generated thereby causes rejection of the product which contains the contamination. A method of making moulded parts of the handling equipment and wrapping film by incorporation of ferrimagnetic ceramic fillers is disclosed. Compositions for moulding and film extrusion with 10-50% of magnetite and other magnetic fillers with a size range of 0.5-20µ are disclosed.

Selon l'invention, on détecte dans le flux de produits alimentaires ou pharmaceutiques des contaminants dérivés de l'équipement de manutention au moyen de dispositifs de détection connus, par un procédé de détection de particules minérales magnétiques dispersées dans l'équipement de manutention ou le film utilisé pour emballer les produits alimentaires. On détecte le champ magnétique des minéraux, produisant un signal qui entraîne le rejet du produit contenant la contamination. L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de fabrication de pièces moulées de l'équipement de manutention et de film d'emballage qui fait appel à l'incorporation de charges de céramique ferromagnétique. L'invention concerne également des compositions de moulage et d'extrusion de film comprenant de 10 à 50 % de magnétite et d'autres charges magnétiques d'une taille comprise entre 0,5 et 20 ?m.
