The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for supporting the ends of a resistance wire in the manufacture of electrically heat-weldable plastic tube fittings in an injection mould. In the method, an electrically heated resistance wire (4) is wound about the core (1), the ends of the resistance wire (4) are connected to pegs (5, 6), pins (9, 10) are fitted into recesses (holes) (7, 8) provided in the core (1), and the pegs (5, 6) are supported on the core (1) by means of pins (9, 10) connected to them. In accordance with the invention, a guide bushing (11, 12) is disposed in contact with each pin (9, 10) and the connected peg (5, 6), each guide bushing (11, 12) is supported in a recess (13, 14) provided in the injection mould (2), an elastic actuator such as a spring (15, 16) is disposed to act on each guide bushing (11, 12) so that its holding power presses the guide bushing, the peg and the pin into position against the core (1), the injection moulding operation is started by introducing injection moulding compound around the core (1) in the moulding space (3) in a manner known per se, whereby, as the injection moulding compound reaches each pin (9, 10), the plastic pressure lifts the pin (9, 10), the peg (5, 6) and the guide bushing (11, 12) from the core (1) against the holding power of the actuator, such as a spring (15, 16), and after the injection moulding the core (1) is withdrawn from the mantle (2), the mantle (2) including the guide bushings (11, 12) is opened and the finished fitting is removed from the injection mould.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de support des extrémités d'un fil de résistance lors de la fabrication de raccords tubulaires en plastique thermosoudés électriquement dans un moule à injection. Dans le procédé selon l'invention, un fil de résistance (4) chauffé électriquement est enroulé autour du noyau (1), les extrémités du fil de résistance (4) sont connectées à des fiches (5, 6), des broches (9, 10) sont ajustées dans des creux (trous) (7, 8) situés dans le noyau (1), et les fiches (5, 6) sont retenues sur le noyau (1) par des broches (9, 10) connectées à ces fiches. Dans le procédé selon l'invention, on dispose un manchon de guidage (11, 12) en contact avec chaque broche (9, 10) et la fiche (5, 6) qui y est connectée, chaque manchon de guidage (11, 12) étant disposé dans un creux (13, 14) situé dans le moule à injection (2); on fait agir un organe d'actionnement élastique tel qu'un ressort (15, 16) sur chaque manchon de guidage (11, 12) de sorte que sa force de retenue maintienne le manchon de guidage, la fiche et la broche en position contre le noyau (1), et on commence l'opération de moulage par injection en introduisant un composé de moulage par injection autour du noyau (1) dans l'espace de moulage (3) de façon connue per se; à mesure que le composé de moulage par injection atteint chaque broche (9, 10), la pression plastique soulève la broche (9, 10), la fiche (5, 6) et le manchon de guidage (11, 12) du noyau (1) contre la puissance de retenue de l'organe d'actionnement, tel qu'un ressort (15, 16), et après moulage par injection, le noyau (1) est retiré de la chemise extérieure (2), la chemise extérieure (2) comportant le manchon de guidage (11, 12) est ouvert et le raccord fini est retiré du moule à injection.
