A device to squeeze out a desired quantity of the pasty contents of a flexible or collapsible tube. The device is an integral structure having two elongated members connected by a frame at both pairs of corresponding ends. At least one of the elongated members has a resilient tongue integrally attached to its free elongated side and not connected to the frame. The resilient tongue is a U- shaped leaf spring. One side of the leaf spring is integrally attached to the free elongated side of the elongated member. The other side of the leaf spring is free. The free elongated side of the elongated member and the resilient tongue, or two resilient tongues in the case where the two elongated members have resilient tongues attached to them, define an opening that narrows gradually from a relatively wide entrance to a narrow slot. The width of the entrance is correlated to the thickness of the rear end of the tube through which the seal end of the tube is inserted. The width of the slot is correlated to the double wall thickness of the tube. Pressure is exerted on the walls of the tube to flatten the tube while sliding on it. A constant force is applied on the pressed together, flattened walls of the tube holding the walls of the part of the tube engaged by the slot firmly closed. Separation between the front full part and rear emptied part of the tube prevents escape of the contents of the tube backwards. It also prevents any unwanted sliding of the device along the tube. The resilient tongue or tongues press the walls of the tube together. In this way, desired quantities of the contents of the tube is squeezed out of the tube in the conventional manner by pressing the walls of the front full part of the tube together or by pushing the device towards the front full part of the tube. The device facilitates the use of these widely available flexible tubes. The device also prevents backflow of the retained contents of the tube.
