A method for the purification of propylene oxide, characterized by distilling contaminated propylene oxide in the presence of a hydrocarbon having 5 or fewer carbon atoms. According to this method, impurities (particularly, oxygenic impurities) present in a solution of propylene oxide to be purified can be removed extremely efficiently.

L'invention concerne un procédé de purification d'oxyde de propylène, caractérisé en ce que l'on distille de l'oxyde de propylène contaminé en présence d'un hydrocarbure présentant au maximum 5 atomes de carbone. Selon ledit procédé, les impuretés (en particulier les impuretés de l'oxygène) présentes dans une solution d'oxyde de propylène à purifier peuvent être éliminées de façon extrêmement efficace.
