A pincushion correction circuit has a pair of circuit units, respective circuit units having a first and a second differential comparator circuit for sampling the upper portion and lower portion of the vertical saw-tooth wave signal, respectively, a first and a second multiplier circuit for squaring the amplitude of outputs of the first and second differential comparator circuit, and a first and a second amplitude adjusting circuit, besides conventional voltage/current converter, a multiplier and an amplifier circuit, and both outputs of the two amplitude adjusting circuits are passed through an adder to the amplifier circuit; whereby top and bottom pincushion distortions are individually adjustable.
